It’s a well known fact that over the last couple of years I’ve turned into an iWhore, but there’s good reason: Apple’s philosophy of building a product designed to maximize the user experience. Their products offer features that are fully realized. They don’t half-ass anything. Aside from some folks having antennae issues with the iPhone4, Apple has had a streak of amazing product releases.
The HTC EVO is the direct competitor to the iPhone4, it includes a litany of techy features that will make any geek drool; the problem, the phone was designed to pack as many features as possible into a device and the user was an afterthought.
I ran into a guy today that had the HTC EVO. I asked him how he likes the 4G connection and this was his response, “It’s great, but I keep that and the 3G turned off all the time otherwise my battery dies too quickly. I also have an ‘app killer’ program that disables all the multitasking apps that run in the background, otherwise my battery dies before the end of the day”
Apple would never stand for that…I’m just saying.
